I'm after a Mule I think but man... 70pounds? for a rucksack? Phew... I know it's a laborious task always finding better than the best for cheaper with free delivery and a free leprechaun but...
Can anyone recommend something similar to the Mule in size but without the added weight loss found in my wallet? I'm not especially picky about bags.

I'm in Sheffield on Friday - I'll have a look. Good idea Jay.
Also spotted this on fleabay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=300330029318&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT#ht_3288wt_1165. Smaller, half the price, looks like your dads underwear.0 -

get yourself along to to a sports direct. They do Karrimor ones of various sizes.
I've got a tesco one, and two karrimors (one is around a 25 litre capacity and the other i think is a 65 litre capacity) the 2 karrimors came to a total of about 50 quidwhoever said the pen is mightier than the sword obviously never encountered automatic weapons0 -

I think he means hydrapak. I got one from onyourbike.co.uk ages ago, but I think they've all gone now.0 -
Gelert do some good ones. The Hydro Vario (LINK) is the top of the range model and is pretty versatile in that you can use it as an all-day pack or you can zip off the load space and just use it for a quick blast round the woods. In addition the load space can be used a back-pack in its own right.0

That Gelert looks pretty functional, if looking a bit fugly...
It's a decent price too, I'll look at the rockrider this weekend as they both look like good bags for the right money!0 -
I have a Gelert that has the 3Ltr capcity bladder and a 30Ltr capacity rucksack, also has a pocket for your skid lid... I agree it looks a bit fugly.. but it does the job 8) 8)0

i have the little tesco one, its on a permanent sale at about £5, its great, really light, comfy, decent bladder, and good storage, if you want more carrying capacity, then thet do a bigger one too, but the small one is perfect for most riding.I like bikes and stuff0

What section does the tesco one fall under? I couldn't seeit on the website0

cool, there's one down the road from my work in the delightfull place known as Pitsea, I'll have a butchers0

Is that for a full pack by the way or just the bladder? How come it's half price by the way?0

I have just bought a Northface Hammerhead for £37.99 reduced from £65

It is a really well designed backpack but the bladder is really cheap and nasty. If I had paid full price I would have been livid but for £38 I have got a really good rucksack I can put a better quality bladder in.0 -
Got the 6L Tesco one tonight, it did coe out at £11 rather than £4.98 but I'm still not complaining, the quality of the bag is pretty god and the storage is just right. Not tried the bladder yet but it looks fine0
