Wobbly Cassette

OK probably a bit of a dumb question but on my trek my gears are not perfect, the chain occasionally changes of its own accord and seems to 'snag' when i look down at the cassette it doesn't rotate in a perfect circle, which on my mountain/hybrid bike it does do?
Does anybody else's cassette wobble or is it just mine?

lean the bike against something and carefully observe the cassette from above as you pedal the bike backwards with your hand. Is the cassette distorted/spinning off angle?0

If you grab the cogs and try and move them side to side, they should not move. If they do, you're lockring is probably loose.0

ok, they dont move, it looks like its distorted when it spins. My Rides:

TBH theres's a few things that could cause this and most of them will require specialist tools to fix (for example your freehub may be loose). Without looking at it, it's hard to diagnose and unless you're prepared to buy a bunch of tools, head for a decent LBS0
