Hi, I'm not sure about this so I though i'd ask you guys first.
I have a 1.75" headtube but only a 1 1/8" fork and i know you can get headset reducers from 1.5" but ive not seen anything from 1.75". I'm only on a tight budget and at the moment the fork has a rim of plastic holding it tight but it isn't good enough. Does anybody know where i can get a headset reducer from 1.75" to the standard 1 1/8"??
Help much appreciated,
Shaun

What bike is it?0

1.75" never heard of it. Sure you don't mean 1.5" or the older 1.25"?
if so, I got mine at my LBSEverything in moderation ... except beer

not too sure what bike it is. bit of a project bike but at the same time my bike i use. it was from kays or somewhere. I think it's something like boss outlaw. and nope its 1.75", very strange i know0

Head tube measurements, and fork steerer measurements are two different things. My bet is you need the right bearings/headset and a standard 1.1/8 fork.
Any pics? Whats forks are fitted?0 -
i measured head tube inside to be 1.75". ive currently got some rock shox judy's fitted.0

Doesn't mean that is what steerer it needs! What type of headset is fitted? Ahead, threaded? Need pics really.0 -

/edit/ I misread your OP, sorry. SS is right.....
np, the steerer tube is the one that you need to measure. That is the tube on top of the fork that goes through the head tube in the frame. Measure the outside of the steerer tube and you'll almost certainly find that it's 1 1/8". Obviously the head tube internal dimention is bigger.
So long as the fork you buy has the same steerer tube diameter as the one on your bike at the moment, you shuold only need swap over the crown race (sits at the junction of the head tube and the fork crown) to the new fork and reassemble. Of course it's a little more complex than that (and involves hammers) so maybe best executed by your LBS / bike mechanic friend in exchange for beers and cookies.Everything in moderation ... except beer

Headsets standards here:

Bottom of page.
As can be seen, a 44mm inner diameter is a common fitting for some 1 1/8 forks.0 -
ok i think it once was a threaded headset but now a threadless. i think im just going to ride it to my LBS and see what they say. and YES it was steerer tube i meant not headtube! silly me!0
