Hi,
I lost one of the adjuster screws on my v-brake arm. Is there anything I can do for a replacement or anything? Its not causing a huge problem at the moment, just an annoyance.
Is it the sort of thing you could find in B&Q or something because the LBS (rip off merchants) said it isnt replaceable and I would need a new set of brakes

But in short, is there anything i can do other than buy new brake arms?

thanks for any help

I think you could get one from Stagonset, http://www.stagonset.co.uk/ £1.50 postage for any number from 1 upwards (so worth getting a selection of screws/bolts).

Look at Shimano Tech Docs on the Shimano Europe site (assuming it's Shimano) for sizes, the Deore LX brake doc says the Spring Tension Adjustment Screw is an M4 x 8mm so this one

    on this page, cost £0.05.

I would not be surprised if all models and brands use the same size.

Stagonset have been very reliable usually delivering in 1 or 2 days.

You could of course get a socket head cap screw, or a socket head button screw if you prefer.
