Well, i've just been offered a job at the place I was working last summer
Basically an energy accounts specialists, I was working on admin and contract writing in the summer and they want me back
Haven't spoken to them since I left, so I must have done something right
Not what I want to do with my degree, but they've said they understand that i could be looking for different jobs, but could be willing to train me as an accounts specialist.... which is pretty damn good money wise
Happy Days :!:

Is it EDF? They are just about to offer me a new contract on our Hockey rink, if you make a significant typo I could make it worth your whileNorthwind wrote: It's like I covered it in superglue and rode it through ebay.0

can you have this job now or are you gonna have to wait till after uni?0

1) As discussed before, I don't need a frigging job while at uni.
2) They want me back whenever I can start, they've just said they'll keep a position open for me.
3) Its in St Annes.... 5 hours away from Uni.0 -
calm down ben, this was a purely innocent question:
1) i was curious as i know you are at uni and thought it was lucky you had ended up with a new career before finishing
2)thats actually the answer i was expecting
3)how the hell would i know that?0 -
sorry, just your comments on the other thread pissed me off somewhat.
Basically I worked for them 9-5 all last summer.
I was only supposed to be there for 1 week for some experience, but they kept me on for 6 because they were impressed with my work rate....
I cleared 1/2 their contract backlog in 2 weeks... I was writing around 30 contracts a day.
It wasn't easy either as it required lots of chasing up, i'd never used their software or written legal contracts before!! (basically I was doing some other guys work because he was very very incompetent and lazy as fuuuuk.... think he got fired while I was there... oops!)
I cleared all their backlog in 4 weeks, and they just kept me on.. I was basically doing feck all for the last 2 weeks, but they asked me to stay and do odd jobs.
I was making a good £250p/w cash in hand, which wasn't bad for a weeks work experience !
But yea, got a call the other day offering me a permanent job when I finish Uni0 -
cool and the gang, as you say, takes a bit of pressure off knowing you have a job to go to when you are done, especially with the current climate being what it is.0

Aye, always nice to know the job is there. Thing is, there are LOADS of NHS jobs in the field i've been studying, all very well paid because of a shortage of people with the correct qualifications!
For instance, my nutrition classes have an average of 10 people per class... compared to sport science that have 2 full lecture halls per lecture, around 80-100 students in each!! Thats the main reason I sacked sport science and concentrated more on Nutrition!!0 -
Good work, it really takes the pressure off. I got offered my job in the January before I graduated, so had the last 6 months to just get through the rest of the course and not have to worry about finding a job after!"The problem was, I was still using my eyes even though I had them shut"
