CHIPPED PAINT
Ey up
Bit of a stupid question but one which well just annoys me a bit really
I take the back wheel out of my bike occasionaly, Im sure everyone here does, things like punctures changing wheels etc etc, latley I have noticed that the paint around the dropouts has become chipped and well just tatty looking this is not 'damage' per se but just W&T
Should I bother repainting them or is this always gonna happen??

It's always going to happenCarlsberg don't make cycle clothing, but if they did it would probably still not be as good as Assos0

Inevitable wear and tear, which doesn't make any difference.
Those who don't like it can fork out for chromed or stainless dropouts on their next custom (steel) frame, or get an unpainted titanium frame.
Touchup paint will flake off quickly. If you go for a respray, leave the frame 6 months for the paint to properly harden before using it.0
