Routes in Cyprus (Nr Paphos)

Hi

I'm off to Cyprus later in the year with the intention to do some MTBing.

Anyone have any experience of any routes in the Paphos area or the Akamas Forest, Troodos mountains, I would be interested in any advice. :D 8)

    I go to Cyprus a couple of times a year for work and try to get out cycling on my day off if I can. I went out with these guys - http://www.gekkomountainsport.com for a couple of days in February and had a great time downhilling in the mountains behind Pafos. I'll be booking again when I go out next month, hopefully singletracking round Troodos (too much snow to do this in February). The business is run by Al and Kirsty Yates who were very friendly and know their stuff.

    was out on the Akamas peninsula late last year and although I wasn't on a bike I do intend to go back with one as it looked like it could be quite good fun. More double track and fire road than full on single track. Also kept seeing tasty glimpses of tracks just vanishing into the distance any ideas on access rights and the like? Also would anyone know where decent gear can be hired? Tried a few places but most of them weren't up to a fat lot.
