I got promoted today, yay me.
Only trouble is I need to be "integrated" into my new team, which will mean 3 days a week in Birmingham for the next 6 months.
I'm either going to have to
1 get the train and a Brompton
2 drive it (at 40p/mile it is tempting despite the eco downside)
3 get a flat/room in Brum, drive up on a Wed, cycle commute for three days and drive home on Friday night.
Whatever happens I'm going to miss out on my usual commute, might find some more scalps in Brum though bwhahaha!

I've been meaning to reply to this for ages, had to hunt back to page 6 to find it, goes to show how healthy the forum is.
The office is at Great Charles Street here Had an interesting chat with a colleague who says that the last 7 miles can take up to an hour to cover. Any suggestions as to where I can leave the car near the M5 to then jump on my bike and beat the jams?
Cheers in advance Atts"Impressive break"

Try here to leave the car There has to be somewhere between the M5 and the office you can leave the car. There is a scheme/website where people rent their driveway out in places where parking is at a premium such as close to football stadii.I've added a signature to prove it is still possible.0
