Well? for up to a £1000 on C2W scheme
What bikes should I definitely check out and put on my list of possible bikes.
Newbie to road but looking for something that is able to commute [10 miles/day] during the week and then out on the weekends [fast & light].
Preference Campagnolo
Your suggestions please

Woul be tempted by this personally, i think you'll find though that a lot of people will suggest test riding as bike fit is important, there will soon be others along who are much more knowledgable no doubt......................winter beast: http://i497.photobucket.com/albums/rr34 ... uff016.jpg

The new Bianchis are gorgeuos. I've got a 2008 Bianchi C2C with Campagnolo Mirage stuff and I adore it. I'd recommend a Bianchi to anyone in a flash - but those Ribbles are nice bikes too
Mines all aluminium but even so it's really comfy. I tested one of the ones with the carbon seatstays and I couldn't really feel a difference - you probably would over a longer ride.
The handling is great (not that I have anything to compare it to...), but it feels extremely safe, while still being fantastic fun.
As you can probably tell, I'm a big fan.
They are a bit pricier this year - and Centaur is the 'one up' from Veloce, so that's worth bearing in mind.0 -

C2W via Halfords, but I be going through a local Bike Hut. The chap running it is very knowledgeable and helpful.
Halfords/bike hut can order nearly anything.
the Bianchi Nirone 7 Veloce seems to be a hot contender after the frame I place a wheels as the next important thing.
How good are the wheels on the Bianchi Nirone 7 Veloce?
Keep the suggestions coming
