Tacx Videos for Non-VR Trainers

Ok so I've taken the plunge and ordered a Satori magnetic trainer as my laptop was not capable of supporting the Fortius software unfortunately.
I've been having a scout online and there seems to be real life videos that are advertised as being for the sirius/swing/satori trainers however even on the Tacx website I can't really find out much information on them, other than the are like the VR ones except the speed of the film doesn't replicate the speed of the trainer as obvioulsy it's not connected to a PC, etc., etc.
Does anyone here use these videos? If so, is it just like watching a film and you have to use your imagination to change up and down the gears to try and replicate what you see on the screen or do you get on screen prompts that tell you what gear to use/resistance to set and what speed you should aim for, etc.?
If it's the latter I reckon they'd be worth getting however if it's just a film with no directions then it seems a bit aimless to me.

I called Tacx about the same thing and supposedly they do tell you what setting to be in.
I bought a similar one off ebay from a company called ChaseK with various routes there around Cape Town. These recommend Tacx trainers and give you the resistance settings.

I've seen those South African ones on ebay before - seem quite reasonably priced too.0 -
I tried one but it didn't do it for me. There's no motivation since the film moves at the same speed whether you go fast or slow. Personnaly i found time dragged watching the film, which is the last thing you want on a turbo!
I think the proper training videos are much more motivational. It did prompt me to buy an i-magic though, which is a different world.0 -

The Tacx videos do look quite tempting. But I can't help thinking that sticking a Tour de France highlights video on, while doing 2x20's would be just as entertaining and more effective. I don't think I could stand doing more time for lower quality training, even with some pretty mountain scenery on my tv.
Still, you pays your money you takes your choice.
