Split lip

Hello :D

Went riding last night, slipped on a tree root and somehow manged to ram the end of my handlebars into my mouth :? Fortunately all my teeth are still where they should be, but I have a particularly fetching split, very swollen lip with lots of attractive black bruising around it.

Any ideas on how I can reduce the swelling and bruising quickly? I'm meant to be out for dinner tonight, and at the moment I look like i've been bashed by my one-armed boyfriend who cycled into a tree a month ago and broke his wrist... :lol:

Laughing and talking is also difficult at the moment which doesn't bode well for a sociable evening!!!

    Ice and Arnica.

    I split my top lip in half a while back with a surfboard fin (tried an air on a slightly too powerful wave - it went wrong!) - it had to be glued back together and my wife fainted when she saw it -Doh!

    :lol: Thanks - i'll give the arnica a go (ice a bit trickier at work!)

    My helpful other half just about managed to stop laughing for long enough to take a photo of it :?

    Sarah - very accident prone couple you are!

    When my wife fainted, she fell head first into the sand (we were on a beach) and grazed herself in exactly the same place (top lip) - true love!

    Hope it's okay - facial injuries are always a bit obvious!

    Your poor wife (but at least you matched!!)!

    Yes, we are a bit accident prone! Off to get some arnica at lunchtime, but I think i've accepted that i'm going to look a little odd this evening and may well resort to a couple of glasses of wine to ease my suffering instead :D

    get a couple of vinos down ya and you wont care or notice the difference. :lol:
