i tried ridin with a punctured back tire once. me and my mate decided to try our luck till we hit streetlights. didn't work lol, just kept hurting my arms where all my weight was on the front.
my advice? give up and carry it, cyclocross style then run alongside ur mate. does wonders for fitness!!0 -
can any one do one handed wheelies?
as for useing the back brake , i have found it much easier using sensitive brakes, as they give better feel and you can use one finger on the lever, giving better grip on the bars.
i also have found that on a bike with a not so sensitive back brake, using the gears can help, shiftig down into a harder gear if you find yourself "looping out" (going too high).if you're not crashing, you're not trying.0 -

that is one cool move, bet that one took a lot of time and painfull crashes to get the hang of, when we get some decent weather i want to try to teach myself that one , i can do one handed ones, but that just takes it to a whole different level.if you're not crashing, you're not trying.0

Thanks for the help.
Also, does it metter how high my seat is, i ride a 18'' hairdtail XC mountain bike.0 -
it does help to have a higher seat as it can give more leaverage, but really it depends on how you are comfortable, pulling long wheelies puts a lot of stress on the arms, so it is best to find a seat position that allows you to be relaxed.if you're not crashing, you're not trying.0

what do you mean its gone downhill? how?if you're not crashing, you're not trying.0

me, but not very far about 10meters if i'm lucky. i find it is fairly tricky to find a balance point going downhill on the back wheel, and the speed is hard to control.
also it is a bit hard to wheelie down hill where i live - the east anglia countrysideif you're not crashing, you're not trying.0 -

He means it's gone downhill. It used to be a great sub forum, now it's empty.
The majority of the old regulars of the MBUK forum are now on ukmb.net.
I imagine this place will pick up EVENTUALLY though, but I'll be buggered if I wait for it.0
