Double Aaaargh!!!

After a year of almost completely trouble free riding the inevitable happened this am - first of all a puncture after 9 miles...the first on my way to work and only the 2nd all year. Then, approx 1 mile from the office the chain failed. the pin-plates had completely sheared. No real problems - lose a few links and keep on the small ring but how typical that it was on my last-but-one commute into work for 2007?
Still, that said here's to an equally trouble free 2008...now if that hasn't blown it and has heaped tons of mechanical gremlins on me nothing will!

Tell me about it. I have had no major bke problems all year, then a fe days back I got 100 yards from my work place, and the plate connecting my back gear mesh to my frame snapped.
Gutting, but then again It was cheap to replace.0 -
