Well done Chris, let me be the first to congratulate your promotion. I checked the record books and as you were the only person to be guaranteed drug free, you get the gong! I'm currently re-writing the rest of cycling history in a book entitled "The world according to Prudhomme". Anybody out there speak Spanish? I've got some records that need checking.

  • I find it amazing that he "uninvited" Riis to the Tour.

That's the Barne Riis that ensured that the 1998 Tour got to Paris. Not like the un-uninvited Cristophe Moreau that admtted some of Festina's drugs stash were his. And not like the un-uninvited Richarde Verinque who denies that some of Festina's drugs stash was his, until the cops collared him, but was allowed to win the Polka Dot Jersey the next time the race was run.

So Riis cheats in 1996, and is banned from the race in 2007. Verinque cheats in 1998, and wins a jersey in 1999. Moreau cheats in 1998, is riding the current Tour in the colours of the French Champion.

Prudhomme is playing the same political games as Le Blanc did.

I can imagine Riis doing an Ali G impersonation - "Is it because I is non-French?"

    Cars don\'t kill people.
    Motorists do.

Le Blanc didn't want Verinque back in the Tour and tried to block him.
