RIIS has owned up to cheating, and said if you want to take the yellow jersey from my garage you can have it,as it means nothing,I have the memories. If it means nothing why cheat to win it.
Looks like the tip of the iceberg.
Who will be next I wonder, answers on a postcard.

It obviously meant enough for these people to cheat at the time, cause they wannted soooo bad to win they took injections. Like Riis says, that is the individuals decision at that moment.

D'Hont wrote in a recent book that Telekom had encouraged riders to use banned blood booster EPO.

He said Telekom Tour de France winners Riis (1996) and Ullrich (1997) used erythropoietin (EPO) and the medical team encouraged Ullrich to use the substance in 1996.

However, my fear is that there are more BIG names to come out. I just hope Armstrong is NOT one of them. That would totally discredit this sport in the modern era.

The sport can only get cleaner from this week. Lets move forward. Lets get real testing with veracity, accuracy and a unbroken chain of custody. We need credible riders with creditable results and capable, verifiable, accountable blood testing.
