Giro Tactics

While it is good to see Danny D strutting his stuff at the top of the Giro leaderboard i have to wonder about the tactics of his team.
Surely he cannot expect his Leaky Gas team to lead from start to finish.

In past TDFs one Lancelot Armstrong was content to let breakaways succeed and thus loan out his yellow bib for a few days to give his troops a rest. Surely Di Luca should consider a simillar option and keep his powder dry for the mountain stages to come.

Thats what it looks like they are doing today.
Lance was happy to let the yellow go because he knew he could take it back almost at will.
Can't see Di luca winning the race, let alone leading from start to finish.
