I just got an email from ebay saying that they have had to reset my password because they believe a third party has it [:0] Swines!

It's not one of those dodgy emails because the first thing I did (actually the first thing I did was laugh thinking it was a scam) was to log into ebay using my bookmark and it said "invalid password"! Password and other security info changed.

How on earth did they get my password???? Any ideas???[}:)][}:)][}:)][}:)]

I was sent one too. Just ignored it as it was trying to send me to a fake site to reset it. ebay still working fine.

Obviously they hope that you will reset it back to your old one so thay can get a copy of it

As i said it was genuine because I could not get on to ebay with my old password. I'm really agitated now and very worried. If they have got my details through gaining access to my computer then they could have my card details! I can't think of any other way they could have accessed that information.

Changed my ebay and paypal password fo the third time this morning and both are different now. Hopefully that may be enough.

I logged in separately. As I said above I thought it was a scam so I logged in using my bookmark for ebay and was shocked when it said "invalid password". I changed my password using an address they supplied me with in the second email and then I changed it once more when I got into my account just to be double safe. I have sent an email to ebay though I doubt they can tell me anything. I just hope they were being over-cautious but even then I can't think what may have concerned them. Strange....
