again i need some help

i have been offered an 04 orange patriot with 04 jr`ts with a Hayes 9 up front and a 160 shimano disc on back. as im very much into me down hill 4x free ride and dj would it be a good swap? my coilers o4 standard with an new hope mono m4 on back

The patriot is a very nice bike. My mate has an 04 one. He has riden it in the alps with fox 36's up front and its perfectly capable.

but is it that different to the coiler? its obv got a 50mm more up front and 1" at back.

The rear sus is totally different, which will have an effect on how the bike handles & pedals.

Can you try the Patriot out? Then you will know which bike is more to your style.

well the guys said he would send it down for couple of days see if i liked it if i did i could send him mine (hes a nice fella

)i would like to go for a test ride but hes up north and im down south. ive said id drive like 3 hours to have a meet and a ride to save lota hassle but e cant really travel i dont think. im very tempted to get it just wanted to know how orange rate reliablity performance etc compared to the kona
