Phil Wood Bearings

I have noticed that a few threads have mentioned Phil Wood Bearings for externall BBs. Is the best thing to order them from Phil Wood direct in the US or do the UK dealers stock all the components. What is cheaper if both are an option?

Is it easy to remove the bearings from the BB cups?

you can get Phil Woods from Sideways cycles in the UK. They are meant to be longer lasting than stock Shimano bearings but I tend to get a year out of mine.
