Rim tape

Popped into my LBS today to pick up some rim tape. It's some Yellow raleigh thick plastic tape that I just plonked onto my new DT Swiss 4.2 rims (with XT hubs and DT comp spokes[:D]). Should I have used some adhesive or will it be fine as is?

no with out adisive will be fine aslong as you have got it lieing flat on the rim,[;)]

i need some new rim tape, but now i duno what to get? adhesive cloth? plastic? rubber?

any recomendations guys?

Sorry can't help you Timmy, I don't which is better for what. I just got the only one they had.

Rim tape is sitting nice, flat and even on the rim so hopefully should be ok (especially with 40psi holding it in place [;)])

the velox stuff from CRC for œ2 per wheel, somehow even pimping the rim tape seems neccessary

its also not gonna need replacing till the wheel does!

Coth rim tape is the best some like this would be perfect.
