Tyres for Wyre Forest

Hi guys, Im back on my bike after my fall (bloody posts)!!

After closer inspection of my bike, I need some new tyres (front and rear)
Yes I know another tyre question, I've searched through all the archives while off the bike; but this is specific.
So I'm asking, for those who are privileged to be riding around in The Wyre, lol, who know what the conditions are like. What do you reckon?

I was looking at Schwalbe Nobby Nic, Panaracer Fire XC Pro or Panaracer Cinder 26 x 2.1's
Maybe a larger tyre on the front for a bit more stability, yes I know it won't be quick rolling but after my crash I need to get my confidence back.

So come on fellow Wyre's, what do you use?
Any advice would be great...

Cheers, Sharker

    Bump...

While the Wyre Forest is under mud and water, what tyres would you normally use guys?

  • I ride around the Wyre. Don't get Cinder's - they'll clog and be useless

The Fire's will work OK. They're not brilliant at any one thing though

The Schwalbe's however are in a diferrent league IMO. I'm running the Albert Front only (F&R) and they're brilliant. NEVER get clogged, the grip is outstaounding, roll well, except in the deep mud (small price to pay) where they sap speed

You may have been over recently, but it's not really deep mud that's the thing at the moment over the Wyre - it's water (more like rivers!), and a bit of light mud, so the Nobby Nic's or other Schawlbe would be best - that's my throw on it
