xtr rear mech installation

hi all, i have a couple of quick questions regarding this:
1, can you use an xtr rear mech (m970) with xt dcls?
2, if you can i have noticed on the xtr mechs that there isn't a threaded bit to use a barrel adjuster like on the xt ones. does one come with the xtr cable kit or is that the way it is supposed to be?

DCLS? Dual Control Levers?

If so yes you can use an XTR rear mech with XT shifters.

Not sure about the barrel adjuster

*scurries off to search t'interweb*

Edit: it does look as if there is no barrel adjuster (like SRAM) so you can only adjust at the lever end.

you can use the xt shifters with xtr mech, as for the barrel adjuster, are you sure? one came with mine.
