Long seat posts
What long seat posts are currently available?
I know there's the thompson at 410mm, and the Roox, which nobody seems to stock anymore at 430mm, but is there any other option for the taller folk who like smaller frames?

I've just bought a 410mm thomson for my scott, iirc thomson give the length as usable length, how much do you want showing?

Always remember to pick your Uni according to the local trails or you'll be stuck with nowhere to ride for three years!0 -
Apparently not i searched for ages for one and the longest your going to get is the thompson. However there is a company called revel(l)? who will make certain stuff to order so they may be able to make you a super long seatpost. They're a bmx firm mainly but they do do some mountain bike stuff.0

Ison had a few 430mm roox posts a month or two ago. When i got the sovvy i was lucky and found a Roox on ebay. Pretty pleased with it, normally i would only buy a Thomson, but the roox clamp seems as good, still nice and tight and no creaks after 6 weeks.
A titec pyro scoper is 440mm long, just measured mine (fnarr). Not light or particularly bling, but again the clamp is solid.0 -
I have two 400mm posts (Easton EA70 and Raceface Deus)

Cheers guys.
A scoper is another possibility, but it'll all depend on if I can get the frame I want first.

A bit leftfield, I know, but what about a unicycle seatpost?
I know nothing about them except they are (very) long.
