Old school?

I've got a '91 frame cindercone Kona which I've been told (I wouldn't really know) is worth a fair bit. Is this the case? If so, how much of a bit is it worth?..

Mmm - well old Konas (and others) can be quite sought after.
However that doesn't mean that you'll get a lot for it.
Also IIRC the cindercone is (and always has been) an aluminium frame. I'd be wary of buying a 16 year old ally frame.
I have a '96 Kona Lava Dome frame (steel). 'Old schoolers' seem to like it (as I do) but it's not really worth anything. It's just a nice (old) frame.

That's odd because it clearly states on a sticker thingy on the back bar (dunno the correct bike nomenclature) under the saddle post that it's double butted steel. And i'm quite sure it's original. Joe Murray design and all that jazz. I don't know...

I could easily be wrong on the Cindercone - it's perfectly possible that they were steel in '91. If the frame sticker says steel then it's .... er steel

Cidercone's were steel at one point (well 99.9% sure).
As for value, they aren't really worth that much at all, although they are quite sought after.
I'd be tempted to keep a hold of it as they are good bikes.Roadie
