50/50 tyres for a rigid

Tyres that are going to be reasonably fast rolling for 50% road and yet confident enough for the other 50% of forest trail duties (current muddy gloop aside).
Am I right to be thinking that Conti SpeedKings tick those boxes, or are there any better choices to look at?
These will be going on my fully rigid Inbred SSer, so I guess a larger carcass will take some of the bumps out too?
Haylp!! [:D]

I have the speedkings.
Very good on road, and on loose rocky surfices. As soon as they get on mud though, they aren't so great.
