Anyone know how Dalby's coping with the drop or two of rain we've been having? I've heard the new stuff pretty good draining, but just wanted to check before a big group of us head down there on Thursday.

It's holding up pretty well with the new stuff. Parts are still wet and muddy but a major improvement on the old trails. You've seen the pics from my sat ride.I went up on Sun as well and it was ok.Long way round...How long have you got??

I've done the new red before, but it was bone dry at the time so I was more wondering if it was holding up with the awful weather - thanks for the info, sounds like it will be quite rideable. We have 5 hours put aside for the ride so that should allow for plenty of biking and faffing about.

They seem to have done a nice job in carving it out into the well draining porous areas. There is one section through the woods near the end that reminds me of the old stuff (before you slalomed down between the trees). That is a mudbath and had some job gripping with all the roots and stuff.Just a short section as you know.
Mind you its been pissing down for the last 24hrs very heavily. Lets hope you get some dry weather to help out.

You have some nice bikes there mate on flikr.

Let me know if you come down again and i can meet you there sometime if thats ok. Would be nice to get some knowledge from yourselves about where to ride near you...

The last two times i have been up to Dalby it has been completely throwing it down. There is only one bit on the new red that is suffering a little where the bomb holes are, but apart from that its holding up well. I would say make sure you have enough life left in your brake pads if its wet, as you know Dalby is very sandy and gritty and it took both my front and back pads to the bone last time i was there
