....driving under a headroom-limiting bar at the entrance of a car park having forgotten your bike's on the roof? Like I did today.

Oh well could have been worse; the bike is undamaged just a few scratches on the headset (but cable rub has done worse [:D]), the back wheel popped out of my fapa velo and rested nicely on the back window without pushing the carrier into my roof, the front wheel bent the part of the carrier it was strapped in to up and back but held the bike on the car, and the grip/lock broke relasing the down tube without damaging it.

Plus, if I didn't do it today I would have done it a few weeks having driven all the way up to the lakes, with both our bikes on the roof instead of just one, almost certainly one or the other would have scartched and dented my car, and we wouldn't have been able to fit them both in the boot afterwards. Also had a laugh with the witnesses [:D]

Just need to buy one replacement carrier now [:I]
