Lothian/Borders lot this week
Anyone out on Tuesday or Wednesday this week?
I want to do Inners but am also open to suggestions. Not really fussed about GT Red this week.
(I want to do Inners as i think I am about the only one who hasnt done that 3rd jump yet[;)])

Moray - I was thinking of heading down at about 6pm although could maybe start a bit earlier. I think Tuesday suits me better out of the two days

Thanks for asking, Dave; it was good, nice and relaxing! Lots of sunshine, fresh baguette, smelly cheese, red wine and Kronenbourg. In particular the latter; so much better when brewed in its country of origin than the stuff brewed 'under licence' in the UK - utterly refreshing at the end of a hot day!
Have a reasonable tan, and a few more freckles on my forehead...

Andy, we need to get out and do some of the more local stuff soon, maybe over the next few weeks.
Also wanting to get out on some natural stuff for a few weeks once I return from holiday, maybe Ben Cleugh again and some other places that I havent been before. Will be calling on you, MC and a few others to show me around[:)]

6 start on tuesday sounds good to me.
I want to do Dumyat, and Witches Craig, but only once I get a bike I feel cofident on.
Havn't been to pitmedden for a while either, and if we get a good spell of weather, Blairadam would be nice, and the old theives road in the pentlands would be nice, but head onto the road at the farm this time!
Cardrona ridge would be nice aswell, and I'm wanting to explore Caberstone a bit more, and there's still that loop up the Lammermuirs I've spotted on the map that looks as though it's got plenty of potential.

Might join you on tue night, although my knee is still a bit sore after andy crashed into me while i was stopped!
MC - i'd like to explore blairadam, lammermuirs and caberstone too
Those of you who haven't ridden Cambusbarron should do before they destroy all the trails!0 -

Umm... yeah... sorry about that Stu... I knew you'd stopped and I would've (I think) stopped in time were it not for the entire front end of my bike disappearing into the sudden abyss that appeared - and me flying head over handlebars... [:I]

Thats OK ... I'm pretty sure you didn't do it intentionally! That will teach me to stand next to wheel grabbing abysses ...0
-
In all seriousness, the only intentional aspect was me deciding that the best part of me (or the bike) to hit the back of your leg with was the top, domed part of my helmet! (Other than shoulder, outstretched hand or pointy part of bike.)

mc, stuartm- re the lammermuirs; Trail published a route over that way in the Jan 07 issue that looks interesting. The Eildons coould be good for a short blaast too.

well i reckon domed part of helmet was a good choice!
eildons would be good too ... i think househusband and some others have explored there before.0 -
The Eildon Hills are great! And only half an hour or so away for me.
Saz seemed genuinely impressed after I took her down there a few weeks ago - and she only lives a few miles away from them! Surprising as it may sound, there are actually some very rocky descents to be found there. Some very nice sections of singletrack, too.

Happy to go along there sometime soon, could they be done as a midweek ride with maybe Cambusbarron or Dumyat as a weekend day ride?

Easily done, Dave - they are so, so close. And so much fun to be had in such a condensed area if you choose!

If I am right I think Dumyat is just along from Ben Cleugh (could well be wrong though), where is cambusbarron?
Andy - could maybe do a visit to the Eildons next week on Wed or Thursday

Just west of stirling. Its really, really good and won't be there for much longer. You're right about Dumyat, its more rocky than Ben Cleugh and there is more technical interest on the climb. The various woods east of the hill have good trails too. StuartM knows them better than me.0
-
Best bet for the above would be to hook up with some of the Stirling Bike Club guys for a guided tour. [:)]

Stuart, looks like Nick might not be there until a little bit later if that helps you for time. Will probably hang on until about 6:15pm ish.
