dunno about the second one but i use slimeliners they really do work well as long as you put them in straight otherwise they can over time "ride round" a little and allow punctures. But that said I used them for nearly a year without a punture in the tread area of the tyre eventually when i did get a puncture it was a massive thawn though the sidewall. nowt liners can do about that.
liners add a bit of rolling weight, but that said i didnt really notice it.0 -
yeah i also use slimeliners not had a pinch yet touch wood and have got slime scabs as back up just in case thiugh also depends on the ply of ur tire

After getting loads of punctures I've just now put a slime one in the front and that panaracer one linked to above in the back (I had both lying around since before I got into riding proper off-road). They weigh practically nothing, I understand there is slightly more rolling resistance due to the additional layer having to flex but there is no way anybody could tell the difference. so question is, do they work well enough to justify the cash?
I don't ever remember getting a puncture through the slime one. The panaracer is strange, it's kind of a spongy felt-type tape and I can't imagine how it would stop/deflect a sharp object. But I'm going for a big ride tomorrow so if I don't get a puncture in either/both wheels, either or both will get my thumbs up!
