Took the other other half out tonight, mounted her at the entrance to the woods for a swift one this evening. [:p] Up to Dalby

Anyway....She gets a decent dunking tonight in the mud and she still performed beautifully.Very wet and muddy for this time of year.Glad i had the XTR jackets put on the cables..Crazy fool weather... Grrrr

Ha , just a bit , went on the local loop on thursday eve' had 3 axle deep mud bath sessions and great fun in a 40 footish long puddle that ended up being much deeper than I thought it would be, everything was soaked , rocks, roots the lot had more nearly offs than I 've had in months . got home looking like 'swamp thing' ,loved every minute of it[:D]

I'm a bit scared about what Aston Hill's DH run will be like tomorrow. The mud is claggy clay stuff there and is horrible

I went down the Silkin way and route 45 yesterday and they were far more interesting than usual. The end of the Silkin way is all washed out, massive erosion of the top grit and gravel layers have created extended-length potholes and a piling up of grit at certain points. You bounce all over the hard coarse gravel and slide all over the place on the 6 inch thick grit. I never knew I could balance quite so well with the back end sliding everywhere [:)]

Route 45 wasn't too bad, but parts of it are a complete mudbath whilst other parts are wide expanses of puddles with incalculable depth. I chickened out of a short steep ascent on slick gravel (and the descent on the way back), which sucked.

I know the feeling i thought if i built a new bike in summer it might stay cleaner for longer. Oh no i was so wrong [:p]
