Crank Arm Installation
My new crank arms arrived this morning and I am looking at buying the tools to fix them onto the chainset. I am simply just attaching the right hand arm onto my FSA crank with another FSA crank arm, however do I simply just need the Park Tools CCP- 4 http://www.wiggle.co.uk/ProductDetail.a ... 5300002315 or do I need more than this to do the job myself?

no tools are needed to fit arms to a bb. except for an allen key.
for removing the old ones that tool could help.
what are the old arms and what are the new ones?

I'm sorry but I can't quite understand your post. As for which tool, it all depends on which chainset you've just brought!0

The old arms are simply what was on the present ISIS crank and the new arms are the FSA Xtreme Downhill ones
To be honest I havent checked whether it is the same interface as I just presumed it would be right0 -
FSA could be ISIS or square taper. Is the old crank off the bike yet?

If they're both Isis cranks then yes. The crank puller you linked to (and an allen key) are all you need to remove and refit the cranks.0
-
There both ISIS type but I havent managed to get the old crank off yet as havent got the tools thats my problem0

Ah, so you will need a crank extractor afterall. They can be got cheaper than that park one. 5 or 6 quid usually.

Does it sound a quite easy job then? Also where could I pick a crank extractor up for that price?0
-
Bike shops usually have a cheap range, and ebay. Its straightforward - for step by step proceedure see Park Tools in my sig and follow the bike map.

Cheers supersonic will do once I get this crank extractor only thing thats worrying me is messing up the bottom bracket and also the chainring bolts dont seem to want to accept my allen keys for some reason0
-
Most crank bolts are 8mm. Its pretty hard to mess the axle up! You will be fine!

To be honest Nick I am not sure whether they are self extracting on the crank now but with the new arms I got they are standard bolts I think and I think they are on the original crank how can I tell
I am a complete novice at all this0
