Anybody from here been lately.
Me and a mate are of there in a couple of weeks, instead of going to T in the Park.
Can anyone recommend drinking establishments?
Looking for some cheap pubs during the day and the lively joints at night, ideally avoiding the big "stag do" groups.
If it helps, my hotel is on the same street as the Staropramen brewery.
Cheers!

Been there a couple of times. Its a good crack. Look out for cheap pubs away from the tourist hotspots, and keep away from the working girls on the streets who will pickpocket you.

All the pubs are pretty cheap, but stay out of the ones on Old Town Square (Staromeska) as they're always full of stag muppets.
Your hotel's on the wrong side of the river, you're near the main shopping centre.
To get into town, take the yellow (b) line from Andel to Mustek then you can get off there (confusing) or follow the signs and get on the Green (A) line and either got to Muzeum (top of Wenceslas Square) or Staromeska (old town square)
Um...
Nightime: You can't miss Karlovy Lazne if you're after a club, It's near Charles Bridge on the old town side of the river. Walk through the enclosed shops bit to get to it. Five floors with different music on each.
Best bar in town is Al Capone's. However, it's tiny, on a backstreet near a police station and you'll never find it in a million years. It's one of those places you can only ever find when you're slightly inebriated. Prague 1 Address: Bartolomejska 3
If you like expensive drinks, there's the m1 secret bar. It's strictly no stag parties, and no wankers. It's near old town square. Dress well, Get a map.
Aloha is also good, relaxed, devoid of stags and cheap. That's near old town square too.
If you're looking for a more "relaxed" evening. Try Confessions on U Milosrdych 4. Be nice to the tall black guy, he's packing. Black Jesus usually does sessions on a saturday night when he's not studying. Nice guy. Barman's cool too.
Find these places in the daylight, don't walk about after dark on your own.0 -

Oh and don't get hustled into a club, regardless of promises of cheap/free drinks. They're all tourist clubs and the hustler is picking up a huge cut of that overinflated entrance price.0
