Shimano MP56 Shoes
Shimano MP56 Shoes - http://tinyurl.com/3c2ahu
I have been looking at footwear for a while and have decided that these are the ones I will go for. I liked these - http://tinyurl.com/2ajnh3 - but were put off by the price.
I noticed that they were under review by Fozzy (I think) and I just wanted to know from any of you if they are a good buy. Put simply, I want to confirm that there is no reason not to buy them. Got to protect them pennies!

i have the 66 versions.. with SPD cleat.
i run Van's for my flats..
œ34.99 from rollersnakes.
personally i do not get on with the shape (far to wide and causes issues when unclipping).

That sounds encouraging actually as I prefer wide shoes. It took me ages to find a suitable football boot.
The issue with the unclipping obviously doesn't apply to me so that's OK too.
So all is well up to now, unless there is anything else?
I'll have look at them Van's too.0 -
they have a huge toe box and i like the ankle padding, really need a better fastening method, i hate laces.
they are grippy rubber and don't look to bad too..

I know what you mean about the laces, i'm the same, there have been loads of times where I have been put off from buying shoes as I prefer velcro fasteners.
With them Shimano's though, they have that lace cover which means I wont have to make sure the laces look OK. Still though, youve got the inconvenience of having to fasten the things in the first place.
Can the lace cover be removed?0 -
no it can't.
i'd prefer velcro straps covered up with the lace cover... but sadly not...

Can you think of any other shoe that would challenge the Shimano? Keeping in a price range of under œ50, good grip, mainly black and easily cleaned.0
