E thirteen vs Gt Moto

Im annoyed, i have aa GT Moto 2005 and was bought a E13 SRS chain gude for CHRISTMAS. Today i got BBT-8 because when i took the stuff off in Feburary i realised i cudnt get the lockring off the bottom bracket because the chain guide i have now is a TruVativ Box Guide which apparently is on the BB Flange!? So i cant get the lockring off!! i have the tool for it but not the brute strength! Neither has ma dad! halfords wud du it for œ25 but i sed no coz i thought i cud du it ma self! Help me please!!!
