Anyone have a Scott Spark ?

I have the chance of using a Spark 20 next week (long story - friend of a friend, always buys best as soon as it comes out, ends up never using it etc. Wants to get rid of it etc.)

Does anyone on this forum have one? If so what experiences do you have?

It's a bike I have long admired. Don't need it, but if it's virtually new and I can get it for a bargain .... Hmmmm....

mike, nothing but rave reviews and admiring glances i think..

From memory the mags said ... every review has been fairly shallow in content but it's basically a 5" all day super light trail bike.
nice geom (if a little long in the top tube) and a long chainstay makes a slight slower / more stable ride that LOVES to be blasted along the trails..

Ah Foz. Yes, I seem to remember a group test in one of the mags (included Anthem etc). Must go and look it up this evening.

Hope I don't like it too much, or there may be a Blur for sale [:0]

PS. Possibly also a Scandal !

PPS. Possibly also divorce proceedings [:(]

you could get it for under 2k you could buy it, sell the kit (or spare kit as you swapped it) and move all the parts about and have a cracking bike..

Well, this bike has blown my mind!

It feels like the best of all the bikes I have ever ridden, all in one. It's as light and quick and taut as my old XTC and the ride and suspension is, if anything, better than the Blur.

The shock is as good as the RP23 (IMHO), and the Trac-loc remote on the bars is a joy to use, not just a gimmick. Three positions - full-suss, 70mm and lock-out which is completely firm and just like riding a light hardtail.

Don't care if the bloke doesn't want to sell it (he's not sure, now). I've just gotta have one! Looking around for an ex-demo or something now.

It would have been a damn sight easier if I hadn't been so impressed with it, but it's astonishing.

I say, them bike companies must put something in the water to keep us buying and drolling over the mags! Mine is just 3 months old and I am eyeing the 08 Cannondale Rush 4 while trying to convince myself that it is DIRTY to have money in my bank account... almost a sin... It really would just be helping the economy growh, if I got it...
