Replacing rear cassette

Hi everyone
Just taken the old rear cassette off and have a couple of questions.
With the old cassette on when freewheeling the cassette seemed to wobble almost like an out of true wheel, is this normal? When pedalling it doesn't seem to happen!
While checking the bearings, on the hub side totalled 9 but on the opposite side there is only 8, is this right?
I can't seem to find the hexagonal bolt to take the freewheel hub off!
Many thanks
Mark
