Hi
Started doing some pretty big stuff on my Stinky. Its got 170mm 888VFs fitted standard. On the big stuff with flatish landings the front bottoms out consistently. Ive already hard 1 firm spring fitted to counter this problem and the forks are ace 99% of the time. Is it normal to bottom every now and then or should I go to 2 firm springs?
Im 13stone ride hard. Was informed i really shoudlnt need 2 firm fitted - SO im thinking maybe the spring rate is not the problem and maybe I need another mod to increase bottom out reisitnace or something?
any ideas thanks...

Bottoming every so often is OK, shows you are using the fork to its potential. Is this fork open oil bath? You may be able to raise the oil height by say 5-10mm to increase end stroke progression.

yeah i only wish I lived in Whistler, nice trannies are not always an option! Not sure if open bath will have to research but thats a good idea, think i'll leave them as is and just leave out the huge pallet kicker unless some1 builds a proper landing [:)]
