It all depends on what you intend to use your site for, expected traffic etc, on what service you need. For example if you are just throwing up a some family pics and the like just use the free webspace your ISP gave you.

good point most home ISP's are MORE than upto the job, mine gives me 50MB and is 99% uptime.

cheers guys - i don't have an isp could go and get one i spose but just rather host it at a hosting site - it's only a simple thing javascript/php/html box standard stuff. i won't be writing any java / c# / .net so don't need anything over the top
