New Cove Handjob

So here it is... Picked it up from the bike shop last night complete with new spangly bits as well as the old ones from the old frame. Slight shock when I got there that they didn't have an RF Evolve seatpost in stock - so they did me a Deus XC one instead. Get in!

gungun.. just smile happily knowing at about 2-300 miles he will hear a loud creek / crack and the top of the post will come un-bonded from the tube.

the SL is the stronger version (better imo) i had my XC version replaced 3 times and they gave me a Thomson FOC in the end..

Mine will have a thompson post tho, so when we go riding round bristol togeather hand in hand, and he gets a sharp post up his arse, I shall make sure to get a picture for you boys on here, anyway I have found a way of dealing with the unfairness of it all, I am shopping for some new burgtec pedals for my gspot.

Ah damn... I thought it was the Evolve you screwed up Fozz so was quite pleased when they upgraded it to a Deus. It's alright though, I don't weigh enough so it'll be fine!

Anyway, tis a beauty and I'm glad you're jealous gungun. Pscyclewerx said they'd be amazed if you got it in two weeks though. Evidently Silverfish are really struggling at the moment.

Hahaha... I had to come up with something to make me feel better about the seatpost! It was in jest by the way. It rides beautifully - very light and incredibly responsive. I reckon it'll be double quick on singletrack as well although it does feel twitchy compared to my Lardrock - unsurprising I suppose! I'll let you know tomorrow what it feels like on singletrack as I didn't get a chance to go out on it last night.

just see how you go, i suspect with a Stiffie if you ride it near it's ability you will bust that post but throw it back at the LBS and ask for a different one.

they don't fail catastrophically just the head comes away from the post leaving a length of post ready willing and able to go .. well u know where.. my 3 were all at low speed lucky
