After being off the bike for a shameful 6 wks, managed to get out yesterday for 1 1/2 hrs and found it like pedalling through dry sand. It could have been my lardy frame - but it felt like the brake(s) were seized on. Back home the rear brake was indeed rubbing to a degree and no matter how i fettled/faffed about, I couldnt get a squeak/rub free setup. I tried pushing the calipers back - but 1st application made no difference. Could this be due to a lack of use which will free off with time or is there a fault (the brakes are 8 months old with a decent few mm left on pads and the rotors seem true to my eye as well).

Maybe disc brakes will rub to some degree ? I`ve never ridden another disc-equiped bike - please help !
