CRC and Merlin accept payment via PayPal?? Does any body else think this would be a good idea?

Because of the fees? (What are normal CC fees anyway).

I think the reason for another retailer taking Paypal was that it was seen as safer after some bad press they had.

Ahhh, good point. Maybe still a good idea though, they would no doubt get a cheaper rate too with being a company. Possibly... Plus, it would keep me sweet [:)]

I think CC fees are about 1.5%

Take a look at the CRC main page.
Scroll down to the bottom, and on the right is a box saying "Vote".
So by the looks of it, seems they may be considering using PayPal.

I completely missed that for all of the hundreds of times I have visited the site! I can't remember if I have used PP outside of ebay but I voted yes just in case [;)]

Im hoping CRC start to use the new Google checkout, as you get œ10 off any order over œ30 if you pay via that method, some special deal i guess as Google are hoping to take on Paypal.
