Hi Guys
Couple of questions if you dont mind!? Just bough a new real wheel and im thinking of swappin over Rotor & adjusting Caliper myself!
First question is... Do i need to use anything on the screws when putting new rotor on my new wheel? Locktite? greese? Im presuming you dont screw in dry?
Second question is... My girlfriend has Shimano Mechanical discs, looking at getting her some hyro in the current lx/xt deals, does she need new rotors?
Cheers in advance guys! most appreciated!

thread lock 243 medium strength.
now rotors tend to come with the brakes but you dont have to use them if the others are the correct size.
back to the changing of the discs. make sure you have the correct tool for the job. some use allen bolts and the others use Torx bolts. the best way to loosen them with out damaging the heads is by using a full size tool. and then when the lock is broken a screwdriver with the correct tip is very good.

If you can find them use allen head bolts the torx bolts are a swine to remove if the bolts are tight too much pressure and the tool bit slips and rounds off the bolt. New rotor bolts should come with threadlock applied its the little bit of blue stuff that looks like paintFig rolls: proof that god loves cyclists and that she wants us to do another lap0

Torx bolts will actually take a greater load than allen bolts. Use a full size tool and not one of the crappy little ones.
