I love my pimped Malt 4 and I love aggressive XC. I'm toying with the idea of getting a full suss with a MAX budget of œ2000.
Trouble is there are so many bikes that look nice that I don't have a clue.
This is very hypothetical (or so I have told my wife[;)]) so come on guys and gals can I have some suggestions please[:D][?][:D]

Well I would say it but make sure you test drive a Commencal Meta 5.5.x. You might manage to get 10% of a œ2199 5.5.1 or the 5.5.2 is way under œ2000 or you could buy a frame for œ850 and put on the bits you want.0

I wouldnt say its an agressive XC bike, but its winning a lot of awards and has an unbeatable spec:

Orange 5, one of the best 5" XC/AM bikes there is, could fit your aggressive XC style spot on.

I think we need to defuine this agrresive XC! To some it country paths at high speed, to others its All Mountain for a few hours!

And are you thinking of œ2,000 for a bike all in, or œ2,000 for a frame and associated costs for transferring the kit on your existing Malt?

Quite right Paul,
Is it smooth(ish) trails at (aggresive) high speed - in which case think SC Superlight, Anthem or the Mongoose suggested by Sonic (which has a killer spec for the money - watch the fork though).
Or do you want something more hard hitting and aggresive. In which case I'm not the best person to advise you.

Agree, high speed trails not adverse to the odd small jumpy bit either.
