So what are you lot reccomending i should go for the M424 pedals or the DX M647?????? IS there any difference?? ALso which ones are easy to get out and in too (First timer)and what shoes would you reccommend to use with the pedals

The 647 while MORE money has a better mud shedding design and the 424 is discontinued i think the 647 is the more expensive replacement..

As Fozzy stated, the 647. It's a much better pedal than the 454 which feels very cheap, and it's what I chose as a SPD virgin.

And I highly reccomend the Shimano MP66B shoes to go with them. If you go for those shoes, order a size larger than you would normally go for, as the toe-box is a little snug.
You really need to try shoes on before buying them, as they all come up different.
The Specialized BG Tahoe shoes are nice and comfy too.
