Is that Buckingham Bikes in Aylesbury then?
I had an Anthem and a Genius from them to test - but bought the Anthem frame online in the end.
The Genius was horrible BTW!

I might have to make a trip over to Aylesbury,to see if you give "mates rates" to WMB forum members.[;)]

Yes it is Buckingham Bikes in Aylesbury..... for now. They are opening a new shop/demo centre/workshop in Wendover Woods in the near future so if I'm lucky I'll get to work there. Mates rates won't be an option for a while..... I gotta get settled and go through the probation period first. Maybe near Xmas when the sales are on....

Well I started yesterday and love it!!! Have completed my first PDI today and realised I know a lot more about maintainance than I thought I did. Also have free access to Aston Hill, sponsorship for major events, access to demo bikes when they are available and an instant discount on everything, with heavier discounts after 3 months. I've also been given a fair amount of responsibility straight away cos of my previous experience (which really pleased me) and this will increase further as I gain more knowledge. So far so good. On top of this I think this will be my final step to recovery (as many of you will know I have been off work for a long time with depression) and will get me back to being what I consider my "normal" self. Basically..... chuffed!

Brilliant news![:D]
Always great to hear about good stuff happening to people who have suffered from depression. Us nutters need some luck in our lives dont we?[;)]

I've had a fair amount of luck..... met Heidi, got the job, found mountain biking.... far too many good things are happening to me to remain in depression

Oh, it's not the dream job as I can't choose my hours and don't get paid millions, but it's much better than working for O2 and it's something I have some sort of enthusiasm about

Its amazing what a bit of confidence can do in your life, and when things start coming together.
Hope you are checking those crank bolts ;-)

Its easy to work in a great workshop too, with all the space and shiny tools! (and good stands). And the knowledge and skill comes quick. Be building wheels soon mate!

In the shop we only have a space big enough to work on one bike. Until they can get me booked in with ATG I'll be going to the workshop a mile away one day a week to learn the basics.

My guess is that by the end of the month you'll have a collection of spoke keys, allen keys and spanners in your pockets! Also - grease in your ears, black nails and an addiction to tea and pies ;-)
