Yarp. Replace them with a nice set of Odi Rogues or Oury's:

Lock on grips are well worth it. You only need to buy the bonus pack once and can just use replacement grips after that, but make sure that you don't overtighten the bolts.
The best I've found are ODI cross-trainers. Good for not terribly big hands and more bump absorption than the Rogues.

Didn't know about hairspray though... But how do you take them off afterwards?

Ah, you know me, non of this new fangled grippery, hairspray, clean bars and GT grips all the way! If I had my way we would all be 5sp, cantis and threaded headsets. Those were the days...

I installed my new riser bars and grips yesterday. They told me to spit into the grips to slide them on and it worked [:D]
Now the grips hold to the bars rock-solid. Guess the stuff in between dried up! [:D] No need for hairspray (p.s. who uses it for their hairstyles? I do sometimes! [:D])

Aftere trying hairspray with no joy (though it was cheapstuff and not the Siverkrin that S'sonic uses) I tried punture repair adhesvie and it work a treat, no moment in my grip what so ever.0
