Hey guys

I noticed whiulst removing bits of it from my leg yesterday that my biggest chainring is rather sharp in the teeth, much more so than the other two

How why and what has caused this, and is it a problem. I'd like to reduce the number of teeth shaped gashes in my leg in future, and also couold one of you give me an excuse to upgrade to XTR?!

XTR is nothing more the XT with added looks and possible a few grams of weight saving. If your some one who like to make their bike look very steal-able, then yes, waste your money on XTR. Sharp chainring are a part of life unfortunatly. But they do leave some intresting scars!

Just swapped my XT chainrings for the Middleburn Hard coat slik shifts and I'm well impressed. New rear XT casette and new KMC gold chain and the gear change is the slickest and quietest I've ever had. Plus they are a blingy bronze colour

The XT rings are far to soft

Cervelo S3 2011. Mavic Cosmic Carbonne SLE. RED. Q-rings, lots of bling and very light!
