whats Kirroughtree like

Kirroughtree is simply great. It's one of the best trails in Scotland. Just watch out for the midges.
Mabie is also good for slightly different, more old school simple XC. Dalbeattie is worth a look in too. Especially if you enjoy the rockier bits at Kirroughtree.
And I only got soaked in sweat today as Dalbeattie was like this

Kirroughtree is currently my fave trail by quite a bit, has a little bit of everything and lots of rocky stuff.
Mabie is also very good and well worth a visit and as previously posted Dalbeattie is worth a visit but does have quite a lot of fireroad (but this is made up for with some excellent singletrack and rock features)
Let us know what you think after your visit, I am sure you will be impressed with whichever trails you pick as all 3 mentioned are great fun.

hi,
Kirroughtree is only 30 mins from my inlaws, i love seeing the mother inlaw!!
its an awesome trail with a bit of everything and loads of fast flowing singletrack
defo worth a look
i have yet to try Maybie and Dalbeattie cos i can't resist K'tree when i'm near
I tried AE forest and it was good but very up and down not as flowing as K'tree
Heading to Glentress tuesday to see what all the fuss is about it will have to be great to knock K'tree off my top trail spot
Live life like your dying.....cos you are0 -
I was there yesterday. As long as you are a competant biker and reasonably fit you should enjoy it. You can either do the red twister trail on it as own or do the Black as an additional loop.
