Recommend me some sports earphones for biking use, please [8D]
Was thinking something like these ones that hook over the ear, or better still these but I'm not sure if they can be worn with a helmet...?
I'm not a fan of sound insulating types, and say budget of ~œ20....not sure how, but I keep losing them!

You can't go wrong with Sennheiser. I think the ones with the neck band would be better, it should not interfere with a normal helmet.
I use the MX90VC which have an attachment on top so the are wedged into the ear. Works perfectly for me. One always used to fall out but they don't budge at all now. See link :

what for? some people make piss pot helmets that have built in speakers, or you could buy some small portable battery powered speakers and dump them in the top of your bag.

reckon I'll get the neckband sennheisers; thinking about it the band should not be in the way of my helmet and the helmet straps behind my ears should clamp them in place even more, and easier to route only one cable. I quite like the other earphones with the blobs on top but I already have a few pairs of in-the-ear earphones (somewhere [V]) so the neckband ones will be a) harder to lose and b) a bit different and versatile!
some nice lateral thinking there ride_whenever but i'm not yet ready to cut holes for some 6x9s in my camelbak [:D]

Shure E2C
Take a bit of getting used to to stop them falling out but they're ace 'phones.
Also take a look at Creative EP630. I use those with my mp3 player. They actually block out external sound and enhance the low frequency range. actually, probably not good for cycling as you wont hear cars, people or horses!Mark0 -
i use sennheiser cx300...some lovely headphones.have never fallen out while riding or the quick dash so i dont miss a bus.Can get them for about 20quid off of amazon which is bargainous for how good they are0

Isn't it illegal to ride with headphones on the road? I thought that you could have one in, but not both? Off-road, I use regular iPod ones, but use a little bit of transpore tape to stick them on?!?0

My opinion is that you can go terribly wrong with Sennheiser.
I've owned a few pairs, and known/ used lots of their phones right across the range in the last 10 years.
They are really poor quality in both physical construction & aural reproduction.
Shure have some experiance producing quality kit for professional use. The Senni's, I'm afraid are simply poo in comparison to some £30 E2C's
Just a thought.0 -
I swear by shures - a good entry level one is:

£35 and they're *very* good quality - a bit above your price range but well worth it
be careful though - you can hear *very* little external noise while you're wearing them...0 -
What about those helmets with speakers in them- dont like them myself.“Life is like riding a bicycle. To keep your balance you must keep moving”- Albert Einstein0
