hi,
this is the ultimate source for component weights for cyclists
nearly every component weight photographed on a set of scales!!!!
(its in french but once you get the jist its easy.)
on the link below there are 8 grey boxes each for, frames, transmission, wheels ect...
click on an item say chain/(chaine in french) and up pops 40 or more different chains ..
then youll see a colum (Poids R‚el) (real weight?)
click on a link and up pops your chosen item on a set of scales!!![:D]

KHS Alite Team. They don't have a dealer for the UK. I got it uber cheap off a guy at work who is a racer because he is moving to Canada for 7 months. He got it off fleabay from the US.
Hows the Malt 1 treating you? Lovely bikes, I wish I had popped over to Leyland whilst bike hunting but couldn't be bothered. Doh!
I did the Pennine Bridleway Mountain Bike Challenge a few weeks ago and some guy had a Rock Lobster Ti Team! Sex on wheels [;)]

The malt is good but a little cramped on the the top tube. I'm only a short arse as well. I specced xt shifters and mechs and some other upgrades. It came to œ716 but I got it on a ride to work scheme and only have to pay œ400!!!!!! Result on your frame. I haven't done the pennine bridleway I would be up for that. I long did it take. Was it the full 47 miles.

Yeah it was the full route! I completely underestimated how hard it was and doing it on my own didn't help either. Without a doubt the hardest thing I have ever done. It took me 9 hours which is not bad to say I have only been riding for 4 months. In fact I think I was daft to even enter but I like a challenge! Still beat a few people. I saw atleast 10 others come in after me and 25 people dropped out.

Nice one. I had a look at it myself but I was working. I go up the lakes one a week for a day out but 9 hours is an epic!!!!!!

I felt it the next day though! Not so much pain but I was like the walking dead!! Haha [:)]
You should defo do it though. The challenge will be on again next year or you could just do it anyway. It's such an achievement once you have completed it!
I want to go to the lakes at some point. I need to get out more!

If you are only on the train its easy. I get the train to staveley and the riding there is fantastic. There is a bike shop (wheelbase) a top cafe and bakery and even a beer hall. You can get the train straight through from Preston. I'm gonna do the bridleway next month.
